Mobile industrial dry ice blasting

Production equipment, cleaned in place — without disassembly or downtime.

Ice Blast Works deploys mobile crews and up to five blasting machines directly to your facility across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, San Diego, Imperial, Santa Barbara, and Kern counties. We use pressurized CO₂ pellets to strip grease, carbon, rust, and residue from production equipment, conveyors, molds, tanks, and switchgear — without water, chemicals, or abrasive media that can damage sensitive components. Because dry ice sublimates on contact, there’s no secondary waste to contain or dispose of, and most equipment can be cleaned in place, in short changeovers, without a full production shutdown.

Why dry ice blasting

A cleaner method for equipment traditional cleaning can’t touch.

Traditional Methods

  • Water and chemicals risk corrosion, shorts, and secondary damage
  • Abrasive media (sand, soda) can pit and wear sensitive surfaces
  • Often requires disassembly, drying time, or a full shutdown
  • Leaves secondary waste and residue that must be contained and disposed of

Ice Blast Works Method

  • CO₂ pellets sublimate on contact — no water, no moisture, no corrosion risk
  • Non-abrasive process safe on precision surfaces, wiring, and electronics
  • Cleans equipment in place, in short changeovers, without disassembly
  • Zero secondary waste — nothing to contain, dry, or dispose of
  • Safe around de-energized electrical panels and HVAC components

What we clean

Every asset class, matched to the right pressure and process.

From production floors to sensitive electronics, we adjust pellet size and pressure to the substrate.

FAQ

What industrial clients ask before scheduling.

Can you clean equipment without shutting down our production line?

In most cases, yes. Dry ice blasting can be performed on equipment in place, without disassembly, so many industrial clients schedule cleaning during short changeovers rather than a full shutdown. For complex or high-voltage equipment, we coordinate lockout/tagout with your safety team first.

Is dry ice blasting safe for food processing and USDA-regulated facilities?

Yes. Dry ice (CO₂) is accepted for use around food-contact surfaces because it sublimates into gas on contact and leaves no secondary residue, media, or moisture behind, unlike sand or soda blasting, which can contaminate product lines.

What industrial equipment can be cleaned with dry ice blasting?

Conveyors, robotics, molds, presses, tanks, switchgear, motors, generators, and other production equipment that can’t tolerate water, chemicals, or abrasive media. We match pressure and pellet size to the substrate to avoid damage.

Do you carry insurance for work inside our facility?

Yes. We carry full General Liability insurance and Workers’ Compensation coverage on every technician on every job site, and can provide a certificate of insurance naming your facility as needed.
